Sprinkle Your Hustle began as a spark inside a much larger literary vision. My primary manuscript carried depth, complexity, and layers of lived experience—but I found myself feeling overwhelmed by it. The story mattered, yet working on it often meant revisiting pain before I had the space to fully alchemize it. I knew the work was important, but I also knew I needed a gentler, more sustainable way to bring it into the world.
During that season, I had an intuitive reading that offered clarity around cycles that had repeated far longer than they were meant to. What stood out most wasn’t fear—it was permission. I was reminded of my creativity, my adaptability, and my ability to reshape my work in ways that served me instead of draining me. I was encouraged to break the larger vision into smaller, more digestible offerings—books that could stand on their own while still feeding the greater whole. That insight planted a seed.
My spiritual path has never been linear. I grew up Catholic, evolved into a more expansive spiritual understanding, and was ultimately guided toward Hoodoo—a practice that helped me reconnect with ancestry, resilience, and personal power.
Hoodoo is a traditional African American spiritual and cultural practice rooted in the experiences of Black people in the United States, particularly in the South. It emerged from the blending of West and Central African traditions with Christianity, Native American herbal knowledge, and European folk practices. Hoodoo is not a religion, but a living folk tradition centered on protection, healing, justice, luck, and ancestral reverence. It emphasizes intention, prayer, natural elements, and balance. My personal philosophy is simple: do no harm, take no injustice—and when balance is disrupted, it must be restored.
Hoodoo is deeply connected to the African diaspora, including Black Caribbean traditions, because our ancestors carried shared knowledge across land and water, adapting wisdom wherever they were forced to survive. Despite harmful stereotypes, Hoodoo is not “black magic.” That label was born of racism and fear. In truth, it is a spiritually neutral practice rooted in survival, care, and empowerment.
Although the insights from that intuitive reading weren’t at the forefront of my mind, they stayed with me quietly. About a month later, after navigating a deeply toxic work environment, I made a decision rooted in faith rather than fear—I walked away. Almost immediately, I received $5,000 in business orders. That moment felt like confirmation. I reminded myself: You can make it.
What I thought was a modest retirement account turned out to be far more than expected—another reminder that even when access feels blocked, abundance can still find its way through. That season taught me resilience, trust, and the importance of reclaiming my energy and resources.
Out of that clarity, Sprinkle Your Hustle was born. The title reflects both my culinary roots and the magic of building something meaningful—sprinkling intention onto hustle and turning effort into legacy. It speaks to creatives, makers, and visionaries who are ready to transform their gifts into sustainable brands.
When I decided to leave my job, I did so with integrity—clearing the air, standing in my truth, and closing the chapter with intention. Shortly after, my coach reminded me of something powerful: You have so much to share—why not support others while you do it?
And so, the vision expanded.
In February 2026, I will be launching the Sprinkle Your Hustle 90-Day Coaching Program—a space designed to help creatives align purpose, strategy, and spirit as they build what they were called to create.
This isn’t just a book.
It’s a movement.
It’s permission.
It’s proof that when you trust yourself, the universe meets you halfway.
