Clearing Spaces: Inspirational Techniques to Heal Your Home by Khi Armand. How to connect to your ancestors with HooDoo

If you are Black or Biracial (Black/Caucasian) and feel called to a deeper sense of meaning and spiritual connection, I strongly recommend Clearing Spaces: Inspirational Techniques to Heal Your Home by Khi Armand.

Khi Armand is a Black Amazonian Shaman who practices Hoodoo and was last known to reside in Brooklyn, New York. I was guided to Khi through Facebook during a very difficult chapter in my life while working in a toxic child welfare environment.

At the time, I felt constantly watched and managed. People wanted to know what I was doing, what projects I was working on, and even eavesdropped on my therapy sessions with youth—only to report back to my supervisor. I had multiple handlers, and what disturbed me most was that these same individuals were also quietly seeking new employment alongside me. The situation became overwhelming and energetically draining.

In the midst of that chaos, the universe pointed me to Khi.

We went on a shamanic journey that involved drumming and a guided sleep state. When he returned, he shared detailed insight into what was contributing to my challenges, including karmic cycles and the presence of a deceased relative who was deeply protective of me but had not yet elevated. He guided me through ancestral elevation work and encouraged me to read his book to deepen my understanding and strengthen my spiritual practices.

I followed the guidance fully and put everything into practice. After completing the ritual, something shifted dramatically. At work, it felt as though I no longer existed in the chaos. The constant surveillance stopped. The obsession with my daily movements disappeared. What replaced it was peace.

Soon after, a position opened within the same company—at a location much closer to my home. I applied and was offered the role within a week. When I met my new supervisor, she said, “Kayisha, as soon as I saw your résumé, I knew you were the supervisor for my program.”

That experience reinforced a truth I hold deeply: yes, we can pray for answers—but when we also use the tools provided by the Supreme God, we are met halfway.

Consulting with a psychic who has true insight and a divine gift is no different from consulting a prophet. The distinction is largely institutional. A prophet is tied to the church, where offerings are funneled through the institution, while a psychic works independently and is compensated directly for their gift. The source, however, is the same.

Many pastors and apostles also do not openly teach the deeper applications of scripture. For example, Psalm 51—“Wash me with hyssop, and I shall be clean”—is a direct biblical instruction for spiritual cleansing using the herb hyssop and holy water with a gallon of distilled water over a period of days while reciting the entire psalm. Too often, surface-level rituals are performed instead, knowing they are insufficient, yet effective enough to keep people returning and donating.

If a pastor comes into your home and things consistently worsen rather than improve, it may be time to explore a new church or a different spiritual path altogether.

Healing, protection, and elevation require intention, knowledge, and discernment. When you reclaim your power and work in alignment with spirit, clarity follows—and doors open.
